Responsibilities
Processes, assists, and manages general procurement needs in accordance with donor guidelines and relevant Syrian laws.
Works closely with the grants and projects departments to plan and coordinate procurement needs.
Creates requests for quotes, drafts bids, and organizes all bid documentation for goods and services.
Obtains quotes from vendors and serves as the focal point for communication with all vendors.
Ensures that all bids are received by the deadline and that all necessary information and documentation from vendors are obtained.
Ensure that all bids comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Negotiates the best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, terms, delivery, and service) with suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluates bids and prepares bid analysis documents, submitting all relevant information to the regional office.
Assists in selecting equipment and consumables based on criteria set by SAMS technical advisors, including quality, price range, country of origin, and brand specifications.
Maintains complete and updated purchasing records, data, and pricing in the system.
Works closely with the finance and grants teams to ensure all necessary documentation for grant financial reports—including invoices, signed receipts, shipping and handling papers, and anti-terrorist compliance checks—is accurate, properly stored, and archived.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or any related field
A minimum of 2–3-year experience in procurement and logistics is required
Good knowledge of online systems
Salary and Benefits
The salary will be defined according to the SAMS salary scale.
