Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective support to program and medical teams.
Monitor the supply chain to ensure accurate and timely delivery of medical and non-medical supplies to project locations.
Liaise regularly with field logistics teams to provide guidance, ensure alignment, and troubleshoot operational challenges.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local logistics conditions, regulations, and market trends.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all logistics transactions and maintain organized archives for audit and compliance purposes.
Support the development and implementation of logistics SOPs, tools, and reporting formats.
Collaborate with finance, administration, and program departments to ensure smooth coordination and operational planning.
Contribute to the training and capacity building of logistics staff at the central and sub national offices.
Laise with the governmental parties to obtain the required approvals for all the international shipments of SAMS either from contracts with supplier from the neighboring countries or from international donors who ship GIKs to SAMS.
Staff management:
Ensure all Logistics staff have job descriptions and are aware of their responsibilities.
Develop performance objectives for each staff. Evaluate staff according to SAMS HR policy.
Develop professional development plans for project staff.
Delegate appropriately.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any related field preferably business management
4 years’ experience in Logistics management in NGO Sector
Fluent written and spoken in Arabic
Upper-Intermediate written and spoken in English
Salary and Benefits
The salary will be defined according to the SAMS salary scale.
