Responsibilities
General Role
The Stabilization Support Unit is looking for a Finance Manager who will lead and oversee all financial operations and systems within the organization. The successful candidate will ensure sound financial planning, optimal utilization of resources, financial sustainability, and full compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and applicable laws and regulations. The Finance Manager will support senior management in strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial reports and analysis, while strengthening institutional financial performance, enhancing cost efficiency, and effectively managing financial risks.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop annual, medium-, and long-term financial plans and follow up on their implementation.
- Develop annual, medium-, and long-term financial plans and oversee their implementation.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide recommendations.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and present analytical insights to senior management.
- Manage cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet organizational obligations; prepare regular cash flow forecasts.
- Develop and update financial policies and procedures and strengthen internal control systems.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audit processes and address audit findings appropriately.
- Identify and manage financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Supervise daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial approvals.
- Lead and supervise the finance team (accountants, financial analysts, payroll officers, etc.), including performance evaluation and capacity development.
- Utilize ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Bazar), with strong proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Enhance financial efficiency, improve reporting quality and data accuracy, and ensure achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), including budget compliance, reporting accuracy, effective cash management, and legal compliance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is preferred; PMP certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant financial experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial systems, and internal control procedures.
- Proven experience and strong proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software.
- Advanced skills in financial reporting, analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop teams.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to plan and manage priorities effectively.
