Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Implementation
• Develop and manage detailed operational workplan.
• Oversee implementation of all project outputs and activities.
• Ensure adherence to timeline and deliverables.
• Make strategic decisions on implementation adjustments and resource allocation
• Supervise Research Assistant/Gender Specialist and coordinate with International Consultant
2. Institutional Coordination
• Lead engagement with MOSAL, MoEDM, UN Women, and other stakeholders.
• Organize and document Steering Committee meetings.
• Maintain effective communication with project partners.
• Manage partnership with local partner including oversight of sub-contracting arrangements and deliverables
3. Financial & Compliance Oversight
• Monitor budget expenditure and burn rate.
• Ensure compliance with UN Women regulations and FCA procedures.
• Approve procurement processes and service contracts.
• Oversee submission of FACE forms and progress reports.
4. Quality Assurance & Risk Management
• Ensure quality standards across all deliverables (assessment reports, training curricula, framework documents, workshop reports)
• Review, in cooperation with HQ, all major project documents before submission to UN Women
• Monitor conflict-sensitive and gender-responsive approaches across all activities
• Ensure safeguarding protocols and "do no harm" principles are maintained
4. Monitoring, Risk & Reporting
• Supervise implementation of the MEAL framework.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Lead preparation of narrative and financial reports.
• Present results during high-level launch events.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience.
• Proven experience managing UN-funded projects.
• Strong financial management and reporting experience.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
