Responsibilities
1. Livelihood Activities Implementation
• Support the implementation of livelihood activities integrated within the education and early recovery components of the project.
• Assist in organizing and conducting basic market and livelihood assessments, including data collection and coordination with local stakeholders.
• Support the identification and outreach of potential beneficiaries in line with project selection criteria
• Facilitate field-level coordination with community committees, local partners, and relevant stakeholders.
2. Livelihood Grants Implementation and Beneficiary Support
• Support the implementation of livelihood grant activities in accordance with FCA procedures and approved project guidelines .
• Assist in organizing beneficiary selection processes, including interviews and documentation.
• Support the delivery of pre-grant training session such as business development skills, financial literacy and basic entrepreneurship
• Assis beneficiaries in preparing simplified business plan and required documents.
• Participate in field verification visits and beneficiary follow up activities.
3. Post-Grant Monitoring and Field Follow-Up
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to support businesses and livelihood initiatives.
• Provide basic guidance and referrals to beneficiaries when challenges are identified.
• Document progress, challenges, and lessons learned from livelihood activities.
• Support early identification of potential risks affecting livelihood interventions and report them to the Program Manager.________________________________________
4. Coordination, Documentation, and Reporting
• Ensure proper documentation of project activities including beneficiary lists, attendance sheets, monitoring forms, and business plans.
• Support the preparation of monthly activity reports and contribute to lessons learned documentation.
• Coordinate with the MEAL team to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in livelihoods, ERL, or economic recovery programming, preferably in humanitarian or early recovery contexts.
• Experience supporting livelihood grants, business development training, or small enterprise support is an asset.
• Familiarity with humanitarian or early recovery programming is desirable.
• Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with community members and local stakeholders.
• Excellent report writing and training facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Languages
• Arabic: Fluent (spoken and written)
• English: Good written and spoken skills (for reporting and coordination)
Specific Vacancy Requirements
Duty Station: Homs, with frequent field travel to Hama and target communities
