Responsibilities
General Role
The Mobile Psychosocial Support (PSS) Officer is responsible for delivering community-based psychosocial support services through mobile outreach activities. The role focuses on identifying vulnerable individuals, facilitating access to appropriate services through referral pathways, and supporting the implementation of psychosocial and community-based activities that promote wellbeing and resilience among affected populations.

Work Locations: Azaz – Safira – Manbij – Aleppo

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and mapping of intervention areas within the community center’s operational locations.
- Facilitate referrals and follow-up to connect beneficiaries with appropriate services based on individualized intervention plans developed in collaboration with the beneficiary. Services may include psychosocial support activities, legal counseling, specialized mental health services, vocational training, educational services, and basic services.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of global and community awareness campaigns and activities.
- Develop and regularly update a community service mapping of available services within the area of operation to ensure effective referral pathways.
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and ethical standards are maintained when working with beneficiaries.
- Prepare and submit reports and documentation within established timelines.
- Maintain proper archiving of all activity reports, assessments, and relevant documentation in both hard and electronic formats.
- Prepare activity reports and updates as required.
- Participate in relevant training sessions, meetings, and capacity-building activities as requested.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least two years of experience in psychosocial support and community-based mental health programming.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
