Responsibilities
General Role
The MHPSS Counselor provides technical and supervisory support to case management teams within Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programs. The role focuses on strengthening the quality of case management services, supporting staff wellbeing, and ensuring that interventions are delivered in accordance with established professional standards and global guidelines.

Work Locations: Azaz – Safira – Manbij – Aleppo

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly individual supervision sessions with each Case Manager, providing both technical guidance and psychosocial support.
- Review complex cases and provide appropriate professional guidance and recommendations.
- Organize regular case management team meetings to discuss challenges, share lessons learned, and plan next steps.
- Monitor the implementation of care plans, review case files, and ensure the quality and accuracy of documentation.
- Monitor staff wellbeing and take proactive measures to prevent burnout and secondary trauma.
- Provide technical support during emergencies and assist in decision-making for complex cases.
- Contribute to capacity building of Case Managers, ensuring they receive adequate training and professional support.
- Follow up on beneficiary feedback and satisfaction surveys, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with humanitarian principles and program guidelines.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience in case management within Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programs.
- Strong knowledge of international case management guidelines and best practices.
- Demonstrated supervisory and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide professional psychosocial support to staff.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to review case files and make informed decisions on complex cases.
