Responsibilities
Supports health teams across all programs in planning and implementing preventive maintenance for medical equipment.
Plans, implements and ensures corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control of medical equipment and its maintenance.
Identifies the needs for new equipment, together with the health teams and assists within its procurement; manages stocks of spare parts.
Contributes to the annual budgeting process for Biomedical-related activities across programmes.
Monitors and follows up on monthly forecasting and planning exercises.
Maintains a good collaboration with Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), Ministry of Health, suppliers and all concerned departments.
Trains the staff of the supported health facilities and organizes capacity building activities based on the needs.
Prepares and submits required reports to the Health Coordinator.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering is the minimum required, Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering is an asset
At least 5 years’ experience in managing medical equipment in a hospital setting.
Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Experience in managing complex medical equipment and collaborating with medical equipment suppliers.
Experience with humanitarian projects and training staff with limited biomedical understanding is a strong asset.
