Responsibilities
Overarching responsibilities:
The HR Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee management, payroll, compliance, and employee engagement. The role contributes to fostering a positive work culture, implementing HR best practices, and supporting the Administration Manager in achieving the company’s strategic objectives.
The HR Specialist ensures all HR activities are executed professionally, consistently, and in compliance with Syrian labor law and company policies.

Specific Responsibilities/Tasks:

1.1 Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Manage candidate communications and ensure a positive applicant experience.
- Support the development of job descriptions, role profiles, and recruitment strategies.

1.2 Onboarding & Employee Integration
- Conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Facilitate induction sessions on company policies, culture, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure new employees have the resources and tools needed to perform effectively.

1.3 Employee Relations & Engagement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and workplace issues.
- Support conflict resolution and promote a harmonious work environment.
- Assist in implementing employee engagement programs, team-building initiatives, and recognition schemes.

1.4 Payroll, Benefits & HR Administration
- Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with labor laws.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, leave management, and entitlements.
- Maintain confidential HR files, contracts, and documentation in an organized manner.

1.5 Performance Management & Development
- Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems, goal-setting, and review cycles.
- Track employee performance, training needs, and career development plans.
- Support learning and development initiatives to enhance workforce skills and capabilities.

1.6 HR Policies & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Syrian labor laws, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Support HR audits and reporting requirements.

1.7 HR Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare HR metrics, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Track key HR KPIs, including turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
- Provide insights to management to support workforce planning and optimization.

1.8 Health, Safety & Workplace Culture
- Support the implementation of occupational health and safety initiatives.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional workplace culture.
- Assist in the organization of HR-related events, workshops, and seminars.

1.9 Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with other departments to support HR-related initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the Administration Manager as required.
- Assist in special HR projects and corporate initiatives.


Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HR, personnel management, or related functions.
- Knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, recruitment, and employee engagement practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with HR software or information systems is an asset.

Languages:
Professional proficiency in Arabic; working knowledge of English.

IT know-how:
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and HR software (if applicable).
- Experience with HR information systems, HRMS, or any payroll software.
