Responsibilities
• Oversee passenger handling operations to ensure efficient processing and high service standards across all touchpoints.
• Coordinate with airlines and government agencies to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and security protocols.
• Manage check-in and boarding processes and coordinate with the other departments.
• Ensure compliance with KPIs and maintain high passenger satisfaction results.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for passenger handling, ensuring consistent execution and service quality.
• Manage airline and service provider relations related to passenger services to maintain performance standards, address issues, and ensure contractual compliance.
• Respond to service disruptions or irregular operations (IROPS), coordinating passenger care, communication, and recovery actions.
• Lead passenger experience initiatives by monitoring feedback, identifying improvement areas, and ensuring service excellence.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of passenger handling areas to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
• Supervise and develop passenger handling staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare operational reports on passenger volumes, service performance, and incident handling for management review.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
* Strong understanding of passenger handling operations, service delivery standards, and airline coordination.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in dynamic, high-traffic environments.
* Knowledge of aviation safety, security, and regulatory requirements (ICAO, IATA, and local CAA).
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure smooth collaboration during regular and irregular operations.
* ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, are a requirement to be successful in this role (this point to be available for all roles that have SAP access).
