Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with international aviation standards (ICAO Annex 14) and national civil aviation regulations regarding airside operations.
• Oversee the implementation of the Wildlife Hazard Management plan and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) control programs.
• Monitor airside infrastructure conditions, including runways, taxiways, and aprons, and coordinate necessary maintenance or repair works.
• Manage and review the Airside Safety Management System (SMS) activities and promote a safety culture among all airside users.
• Manage and oversee all airside operational activities in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure safe and efficient movement of aircraft, vehicles, and personnel within airside areas.
• Coordinate airside operations with AOCC, terminal operations, airlines, ground handling agents, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor airside operational performance and address operational risks or deviations.
• Ensure implementation of airside operational instructions and corrective actions when required.
• Supervise airside supervisors and ensure effective workforce deployment.
• Review airside operational reports, incidents, and findings and take appropriate action.
• Support operational improvement initiatives related to airside activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping of airside operations.
• Perform additional duties assigned by senior management within the scope of airside operations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in airside operations, airport operations, or aviation-related operational environments.
* At least 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
* Knowledge of airside operations and airport operational procedures.
* Understanding of coordination between airside, terminal operations, and APOC.
* Ability to manage operational risks and ensure compliance with procedures.
* Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of ICAO, IATA, and EASA regulations pertaining to aerodrome operations and safety.
* Proficiency in airport operational software and resource management tools.
