Responsibilities
• Supervise habitat management activities (grass cutting, drainage control, waste management) to minimize attractants for wildlife on the airfield.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of bird deterrent systems (e.g., acoustic devices, lasers, pyrotechnics) and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Coordinate with regional environmental or wildlife authorities regarding protected species and off-airport attractants.
• Manage the inventory and safe storage of specialized wildlife control equipment, including firearms, pyrotechnics, and chemical deterrents, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Supervise daily wildlife control activities within airside areas.
• Coordinate wildlife hazard management actions to reduce risks to aircraft operations.
• Monitor wildlife activity patterns and identify high-risk areas or periods.
• Implement approved wildlife control procedures and response actions.
• Supervise wildlife control staff and ensure effective task allocation and coverage.
• Coordinate wildlife-related activities with Airside Operations, AOCC, ARFF, and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of wildlife observations, actions, and incidents.
• Support investigation and reporting of wildlife strikes or wildlife-related incidents.
• Ensure wildlife control equipment and tools are available and serviceable.
• Support development and implementation of wildlife awareness and prevention measures.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management within the scope of wildlife management.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Environmental Science, Biology, Safety Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 5–7 years of experience in wildlife management, airside operations, or airport safety roles.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 14 and Doc 9137 (Part 3) regarding Wildlife Hazard Management.
• Proficiency in identifying local bird and mammal species and understanding their seasonal migration patterns.
• Knowledge of wildlife hazard management and airside operational environments.
• Ability to assess wildlife risks and coordinate mitigation actions.
• Understanding of coordination between wildlife management, airside operations, and control centers.
