Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Management, Public Relations, Sociology, Humanities, or any other related field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in community-based, humanitarian, or development work, preferably with local or international non-governmental organizations.
- Proven experience in supervising field teams or volunteer groups and implementing community activities and initiatives.
- Good understanding of humanitarian principles, protection, accountability to affected populations, and community engagement approaches.
- Experience in conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), community needs assessments, and service mapping.
- Strong planning, organizational, time management, follow-up, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with community members and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in dynamic and high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, and digital work tools.
- Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken; knowledge of English is an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in Manbij or nearby areas, or those able to access the duty station regularly.

The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU) is a Syrian non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2016 with the aim of promoting stability and peacebuilding in Syria. The organization implements integrated programs in the areas of governance, economic empowerment, social cohesion, and civic engagement, with a particular focus on the inclusion of women, youth, and marginalized groups.
Operating through its offices in Gaziantep, Aleppo, Damascus, and Azaz, SSU adopts an institutional approach grounded in transparency and accountability, and has built strategic partnerships with international organizations and donors from Europe, the Gulf, and the United States.
