Responsibilities
General Role:
The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU) / Stabilization Organization is seeking to recruit Psychosocial Support (PSS) Officers to work within the Mobile Team across the project intervention areas.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing non-specialized psychosocial support services to individuals, families, and targeted communities through conducting psychosocial assessments, identifying needs, delivering psychosocial support and psychoeducation sessions, and contributing to referral and follow-up mechanisms in coordination with relevant field teams. The position also supports the capacity building of community outreach teams and volunteers while promoting the quality of services in line with humanitarian standards and recognized Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) guidelines.
This position requires strong communication and psychosocial assessment skills, the ability to work in dynamic field environments, effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to humanitarian principles, beneficiary protection, confidentiality, and non-discrimination.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct monitoring and early identification of individuals at psychosocial risk or those experiencing mental health conditions, in accordance with the operational mechanisms approved by the Stabilization Support Unit.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for referred or field-identified cases to analyze needs and determine the appropriate level of intervention through individual and group sessions based on approved methodologies.
- Provide core psychosocial support (PSS) services at a non-specialized level, in alignment with the MHPSS intervention pyramid and recognized professional standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate effectively with community outreach teams (outreach volunteers and facilitators) within the intervention areas to ensure continuity of follow-up and implementation of complementary interventions.
- Contribute to the periodic preparation and updating of the Service Mapping, in coordination with the Mobile Team Coordinator and Technical Coordinator, to ensure the efficiency and integration of the referral system.
- Design and facilitate simulation sessions and practical training for relevant teams to enhance the quality of awareness sessions and improve approaches for addressing field challenges.
- Conduct psychoeducation sessions targeting individuals, groups, and families to increase awareness and promote positive coping mechanisms.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of activities and campaigns related to international observance days and prepare related technical reports in coordination with the department coordinator.
- Develop a detailed monthly work plan outlining planned activities and interventions and submit it within the specified timeframe to the Department Coordinator and Mobile Team Officer.
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, values, and principles of the Stabilization Support Unit to ensure service quality and achievement of intended outcomes.
- Prepare and submit accurate periodic and technical reports (narrative and statistical) within the required deadlines.
- Strictly adhere to confidentiality and data protection principles and ensure the secure management of beneficiary records in accordance with beneficiary protection policies.
- Actively participate in capacity-building programs, training sessions, and coordination meetings relevant to the scope of work.
- Perform any additional duties related to the nature of the position as assigned by direct management.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health, Social Sciences, or any related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in psychosocial support, mental health, protection, or related fields, preferably with local or international humanitarian and development organizations.
- Good knowledge of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) principles, standards, and operational guidance in humanitarian settings.
- Proven experience in conducting psychosocial assessments and facilitating individual and group psychosocial support sessions.
- Good understanding of referral pathways, case management principles, and beneficiary protection standards.
- Experience in delivering psychoeducation activities, community awareness sessions, and capacity-building initiatives for staff and volunteers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with vulnerable and diverse population groups.
- Good planning, organizational, time management, and reporting skills, including narrative and statistical reporting.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and in dynamic field environments under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, and digital work tools.
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken); knowledge of English is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel and conduct field work within the project intervention areas.
