Responsibilities
A. Inventory Planning & Demand Forecasting
• Develop short- and long-term inventory plans for vehicle construction and heavy equipment spare parts.
• Analyze consumption trends, equipment population, fleet maintenance schedules, and historical data to forecast demand.
• Maintain optimal Min/Max stock levels to balance availability and working capital.
B. Critical Parts Availability Management
• Ensure high availability of mission-critical and fast moving components to support uptime commitments.
• Identify high-risk parts (long-lead items, failure prone items) and create availability action plans.
• Coordinate with service and technical teams to anticipate upcoming maintenance campaigns.
C. Slow-Moving & High-Value Stock Control
• Monitor slow-moving, aging, and obsolete parts; execute liquidation and stock optimization plans.
• Build strict controls for high-value stock, including secure storage, cycle counting, and audit readiness.
• Conduct monthly aging analysis and root cause analytics to reduce dead stock.
D. OEM Parts Ordering & Supply Chain Coordination
• Manage end to end OEM parts ordering: forecasting, order placement, tracking, and delivery scheduling.
• Validate part numbers, supersessions, and technical accuracy before ordering.
• Maintain close communication with OEM parts support, technical teams, and regional DXB teams on supply issues and backorders.
E. Pricing Management & Alignment with DXB Team
• Ensure local pricing aligns with DXB regional policies and OEM pricing structures.
• Update cost files, pricing lists, discount structures, and promotional pricing according to approved guidelines.
• Monitor market prices, competitor benchmarks, and margin achievement.
F. Warehouse & Stores Operations
• Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, binning, picking, issuing, returns, and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with safety and OEM parts storage requirements.
• Drive improvements in storage layout, material flow, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure efficient loading/unloading, preservation of parts, and damage-prevention practices.
G. Process Excellence & Compliance
• Implement Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for parts forecasting, ordering, receiving, storage, cycle counting, and stock audits.
• Ensure data accuracy in ERP/Inventory systems.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and variance investigations.
• Ensure compliance with OEM audit requirements and corporate governance standards.
H. People Management & Leadership
• Lead Parts Supervisors, Stock Controllers, Warehouse Staff, and Ordering Coordinators.
• Conduct performance reviews, training programs, and capability development.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, discipline, and customer-focused service.
I. Reporting & KPI Management
• Prepare regular reports on inventory aging, fill rate, stock accuracy, critical parts availability, and forecast accuracy.
• Present consumption analysis, OEM backorder status, and inventory risks to management.
• Maintain KPIs such as:
o Parts fill rate
o Inventory accuracy
o Slow-moving ratio
o Dead stock percentage
o Average inventory turnover
o Order fulfillment lead time
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Supply chain certifications are an advantage.
Experience
• 7–12 years in spare parts operations for heavy equipment, construction machinery, or commercial vehicles.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in inventory planning, OEM ordering, and warehouse management.
