Responsibilities
Parts Identification & Technical Expertise
-Act as the dealership’s expert on parts identification and application.
-Interpret machine serial numbers, SIS, parts books, and technical documentation to ensure 100 percent accuracy.
-Inspect worn or failed components and determine correct replacement solutions.
-Recommend repair vs replace options based on cost, lifecycle and uptime impact.
-Promote genuine, reman, and alternative solutions where appropriate.
Counter Sales & Customer Service
-Serve walk-in, phone and digital customers with professional and efficient service.
-Ensure customers leave with complete solutions, not partial orders.
-Proactively suggest related and preventive parts to reduce repeat failures.
-Maintain a clean, structured and professional counter environment.
-Protect the Cat brand through disciplined and customer-focused behavior.
Commercial Ownership
-Maximize revenue, gross margin and share of wallet.
-Follow up open quotations and convert to orders.
-Coordinate with field sales on pricing, technical clarification and deal closure.
-Identify lost sales and root causes.
-Support promotional campaigns and inventory push initiatives.
Internal Coordination
-Work closely with Service to ensure correct parts are pre-kitted for jobs.
-Support Machine Sales and Product Support teams with technical parts input.
-Maintain accurate CRM and ERP data.
Escalate recurring failures or quality concerns to Product Support.


Qualifications

-Technical diploma or equivalent experience in heavy equipment, engines or industrial machinery.
-Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read technical diagrams.
-Experience using parts systems and ERP platforms preferred.
-Commercial mindset with sales capability.
