Job Purpose

The Child Protection Officer leads the implementation and quality of child protection activities, including managing complex cases, supervising caseworkers, and strengthening community-based protection mechanisms. This role ensures compliance with SOPs and contributes to monitoring, reporting, and coordination efforts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

·Manage complex child protection cases and supervise caseworkers.
·Technically supervise protection caseworkers. Conduct regular coaching, case reviews, and capacity-building.
·Establish and support Community-Based Child Protection Committees and youth groups.
·Lead protection monitoring and ensure timely referrals.
·Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and data quality.
·Represent Switzerland in coordination meetings.

Qualifications
·Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field.
·2-3 years experience in child protection (case management, MHPSS).
·Fluent in Arabic; English is an asset.
·Good IT and reporting skills.
