The protection case worker is part of the protection program in Tdh-L and operates under the direct line management of the Field Senior Project Officer and receives ongoing technical guidance and coaching from both the Field MHPSS Officer and the Field
Child Protec􀆟on (CP) Officer.
The protection case worker plays a key role in supporting the effective implementa􀆟on of child protection and MHPSS activities, including: Managing case loads under case management, facilitating MHPSS sessions, managing child friendly spaces and conducting protection monitoring activities.

Responsibilities:

Child Protection Case Management:
----------------------------------
·Manage an active caseload, including conducting intake and assessment interviews with children and caregivers, and developing tailored case plans based on identified needs.
·Coordinate and manage referrals to external service providers, maintain up-to-date service mapping, follow up on referrals, and accompany beneficiaries when required.
·Provide continuous psychosocial support, building trust-based relationships with children and families while strictly adhering to confidentiality protocols.
·Support procurement and administrative processes related to case management services including cash, ensuring compliance with procurement and finance procedures and safeguarding standards.
·Proactively consult the Child Protection Officer on complex cases and actively participate in case reviews and conference and debriefing sessions.
·Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the case management information system, and maintain secure and organized case file documentation.

Non-specialised MHPSS and Child Protection activities
------------------------------------------------------
·Facilitate non-specialised structured group MHPSS sessions for adults and children in the CFS or through mobile approaches.
·Facilitate sessions for youth clubs and community child protection committees under the technical guidance of the Child Protection officer.
·Facilitating unstructured recreational activities with children and youth. Ensure that all games and equipment are accounted for and stored securely at the end of the day.
·Support the Child Protection Committees and the Children/youth clubs in developing the initiatives, and leading the initiatives processes.
·Responsible for timely and accurate data entry in Tdh-L databases and trackers on beneficiary figures, filing of relevant files and documents. Responsible for strict adherence to data
protection standards while registering, documenting and filing documents and data related to beneficiaries.
·Identify the children at risk during the MHPSS and CP activities and refer the cases to relevant specialized persons for further follow up and support.

Protection Monitoring

·Conducts Protection monitoring interviews, including individual interviews, focus group discussions and key informant interviews with communities using standardised tools developed by Tdh and the Protection Cluster.
·Accurately transcribes the interviews in KOBO and ensures timely submission.
·Support with the immediate referral of cases at heightened risk that may be identified through protection monitoring activities, as per Tdh-L Standard Operating Procedures.
·Proactively informing the Senior Project Officer of any new trends, alarming protection risks observed in the communities.

Management of Child Friendly Spaces (CFS)
------------------------------------------
·Support the Child Protection officer in the recruitment of community volunteers including initial screening and administering the tests as well as final selection of candidates.
·Based on instructions from the CP and MHPSS officers, lead on the day-to-day management of the community volunteers including organising weekly coordination meetings, assigning tasks, coordinating outreach and awareness raising activities within the communities, coaching and mentoring of volunteers.
·Supporting the CP officer in the identification and assessment of suitable facilities for the establishment of CFS, that adhere to child safeguarding standards.
·Proactively lead in mapping out available services in all operational locations. This may include conducting new service mapping in new areas where Tdh is implementing activities as
well as ensuring service mapping is updated in ongoing locations.
·Provide activity reports to CP and MHPSS officers and Senior Project Officers as needed.

Qualifications
·Education: University degree in Social Work or Psychology or related experience.
·Experience:1-2 years of relevant experience,
·Demonstrated experience in working with children.
·Experience in working in the humanitarian sector and/or with vulnerable groups is an advantage.
·Demonstrated experience in facilitating activities for children of different age groups: Animation, recreational activities.
·Experience in MHPSS counselling and case management is a strong advantage.
·Language: Arabic Speaker (full professional fluency),Familiarity with English is an advantage
·Computer skills: Familiarity with the standard Microsoft package.
