Responsibilities
• Ensure that ARFF training curriculum remains compliant with ICAO Document 9137 (Part 1), NFPA standards, and national civil aviation regulations.
• Supervise the maintenance and safe operation of training facilities, including live-fire simulators and breathing apparatus (SCBA) refill stations.
• Design and implement physical fitness assessment protocols to ensure all operational personnel meet the required health and stamina standards.
• Facilitate classroom-based and field-based instruction on new aircraft types, hazardous materials (HazMat), and specialized rescue tools.
• Supervise ARFF training activities and ensure alignment with operational and emergency response requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver ARFF training programs, drills, and simulation exercises.
• Ensure ARFF personnel maintain required competencies, certifications, and training records.
• Coordinate training schedules with ARFF operations to ensure operational coverage.
• Support design and execution of emergency drills and joint exercises with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor training effectiveness and identify competency gaps or improvement needs.
• Maintain accurate training documentation, records, and competency matrices.
• Support evaluation of ARFF performance during drills and incidents and recommend improvement actions.
• Coordinate with ARFF supervisors regarding individual and team training needs.
• Ensure compliance with internal training procedures and standards.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the ARFF Manager within the scope of ARFF training.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering, Emergency Management, Aviation Management, or a related field.
• Certified ARFF instructor or firefighting training certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in ARFF, firefighting, or emergency response operations.
• Prior experience in training, instruction, or supervisory roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in developing Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and designing specialized emergency response scenarios.
• Deep understanding of ICAO Annex 14 requirements regarding ARFF personnel training and proficiency frequency.
• Knowledge of ARFF operational procedures and emergency response techniques.
• Ability to plan and deliver training programs and exercises.
• Understanding of competency management and training documentation.
• Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
