Responsibilities
-Provide professional guidance to the sub-delegations/office and team leaders on the design, implementation and monitoring of the agricultural programme.
-Oversee the local livelihood initiative programme, and the budget related to the agro programme in cooperation with the Deputy Coordinator.
-Maintain up-to-date records and provide timely reporting of agricultural programme project implementation.
-Coordinate with ICRC logistic department to ensure timely purchase, and delivery of all agro programme inputs.
-Coordinate with the SARC Headquarters and MoA on the development and approval of agricultural programme projects and capacity building programme.
-Provide technical input to the Analysis and Evidence team on the preparation of assessment, verification, and monitoring forms, and ccoordinate with the concerned teams, to ensure timely implementation, project monitoring and evaluation.
-Coordinate with the ICRC field structures, regarding the security and logistical requirements for field assessments.
-Maintain good relations with SARC, MoA (Syrian Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform), and the UN FAO (United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization) and its partners, and attend sector coordination meetings.
-Inform the Delegation on Syria general agro, specific needs relating to agro production and animal health situation and provide recommendations for appropriate agro projects.
