Responsibilities
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
.
•Provide Risk Education Sessions directly to the beneficiaries
•Collect data on communities affected by Explosive Ordnance (e.g. pre and post clearance surveys, case studies, videos, photographs, and etc).
•Complete IMSMA dangerous area reports, impact surveys, victim reports, and community assessment surveys.
•Collect data on Explosive Ordnance accidents.
•Collect data for Baseline and Knowledge, Attitude and Practice surveys.
•Assist in the development of risk awareness information, communication and education tools.
•Any other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
•University or institute degree in a related field Social Studies, humanitarian studies, or International Development. Significant relevant work experience in these specific areas will be considered of added value.
General Work Experience:
•Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field
•Experience in using participatory techniques to gather information in at-risk communities
•Experience in carrying out community-based mine risk education activities or similar
Skills:
•Languages:
Good in English (Writing-Reading-Speaking).
Good in Arabic (Writing-Reading-Speaking).
•Computing:
• Microsoft Office skills including excel, word, outlook, etc.
•communication skills: negotiating, facilitating, and presenting as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
Abilities:
•Has the flexibility to deal with different structure according to organization organogram update and rapidly with numerous and often simultaneous problems in an effective manner.
•Patient and a good communicator.
