Qualifications
- At least + 8 years of experience in social protection, labour markets, cash assistance, socioeconomic research, or institutional analysis in Syria.
- Strong understanding of social insurance systems, labour law, and labour market statistics.
- Established working relationships with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour and UN country teams.
- Proven experience leading research activities and facilitating consultations and workshops in Arabic and English.
Specific Vacancy Requirements
At least 8 years of professional experience in Syria in social protection, labour markets, cash assistance, socioeconomic research, or institutional analysis.
Proven experience working directly with national government institutions, particularly on social protection and labour-related issues.
Established working relationships with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MoSAL) at both leadership and technical levels.
Experience collaborating with UN agencies and country teams operating in Syria.
Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead qualitative research, stakeholder consultations, and workshop facilitation in Arabic.
Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Labour Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across government, UN, and development partner environments.
