Responsibilities
* Lead and manage engineering and commercial projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
* Develop project execution plans and schedules, allocate resources, assess risks, and monitor overall project performance.
* Supervise engineering works on-site and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable technical standards.
* Manage procurement and supply activities, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and oversee the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
* Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flows, and variation orders.
* Lead communication and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
* Prepare progress reports, conduct regular project meetings, and ensure effective follow-up on project activities.
* Manage contracts and claims and ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering from an accredited university.
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in engineering and project management, including at least 4–5 years managing medium to large-scale commercial, industrial, or MEP projects within the trading and contracting sector.
* PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
* Proven experience in managing complex supply chains, equipment imports, and subcontractor teams.
* Good knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and BIM/Revit.
* Advanced knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo for inventory management, procurement, and cost control.
* In-depth knowledge of standard construction contracts, including FIDIC, and local building regulations.
* Strong experience in budget management, cost analysis, and cost control.
* Strong skills in commercial contract negotiation and claims/dispute management and resolution.
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
