About us
Human Aid and Development (HAND) is a non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian and development organization dedicated to creating positive and sustainable change for vulnerable and underserved communities. Guided by the principles of inclusion, accountability, dignity, and sustainability, HAND works to expand opportunities, strengthen resilience, and improve access to essential services for people affected by crisis and other challenging circumstances.

With its main office in Damascus and operational presence across Damascus and Rural Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Idleb, Hama, Latakia, and Tartous, HAND works closely with communities, local authorities, national and international partners, donors, and other stakeholders to deliver relevant, quality, and sustainable programmes. HAND is officially registered and licensed to operate in Syria under License No. 173/2025 and is also registered and operational in Lebanon.
