Duties & Responsibilities – Finance Officer
•Make sure that all financial transactions are carried out and recorded in accordance with standard financial procedures
•Regularly review the loan, business advance, and salary advance registers
•Carry out a cash count on a regular basis as per SIF Finance Procedure Manual
•Approve the monthly payroll and payroll related such as social security, tax on salaries, and other payments
•Check the month end cashbooks and ensure accuracy of book-keeping and coding
•Ensure that all financial records are properly kept
•Prepare monthly analysis of cashbooks, comparison with budget, and commentary
•Ensure accounts are ready to be sent to Head Office within designated deadlines
•Monitor expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the projects / fiscal year
•Assist in the preparation and review of budgets
•Monitor actual expenditure versus budgets
•Prepare financial reports to donors, in liaison with Finance Manager
•Assist in developing adequate systems to facilitate accurate recording and reporting of financial data, and help other staff to understand and work with them
•Provide support to the office in all other financial matters
•Manage the Cashier / Finance Assistant
•Provide financial management support for projects
•Provide support to the office in all other financial matters
•Establish and agree on key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals
•Achieve outcome of SIF projects according to Donors conditions and requirements
•Ensure adherence to SIF Procedures Manual
•Ensure adherence to SIF Internal Rules & Regulations
•Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
•Maintain confidentiality and ensure the non-disclosure of any information whatsoever relating to the practices and business of SIF, acquired in the course of duty, to any other person or organization without authority, except in the normal execution of duty
•Commitment to humanitarian business ethics

Qualifications and Skills
•University Degree in accounting or other related fields
•Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing and translation)
•Good knowledge about procedures and financial guidelines of institutional donors such as UN agencies
•Experience in accountancy
•Excellent computer skills in using of MS Office (word, outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Advance skills in using Excel
•Experience in using accounting software, knowledge about SIF accounting system (SAGA) is a plus
•Good reporting skills
