Responsibilities
• Act as the focal point for the Health and Nutrition Program and be aware of the status of program implementation.
• Work with the local partner’s Health and Nutrition Coordinator to ensure that the program activities are being executed as planned and according to donor’s requirements.
• Be in direct contact with the local partner’s Health and Nutrition Coordinator to provide on-the-job support and guidance - as needed, to ensure smooth, quality and timely execution of the program activities.
• Monitor the execution of program activities through periodic field visits and regular meetings with the local partner’s Health and Nutrition Coordinator to ensure successful achievement of program outputs.
• In coordination with the local partner’s Health & Nutrition Coordinator, conduct technical trainings on nutrition and infant and young child feeding targeting the local partner’s staff, in consultation with the Regional Technical Advisor for Health and Nutrition.
• Coordinate with and report to the Programs Manager and be in continuous contact and coordination with the Regional Technical Advisor for Health and Nutrition.
• Assist as needed with developing new program proposals and concept notes.
• Provide solutions and troubleshooting - as needed and requested by the local partner’s Health and Nutrition Coordinator.
• Document and report on program activities, in compliance with the donor’s reporting requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications
• BSc + 5 years of experience or MSc + 2 years of experience in Health or Nutrition or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in health or nutrition, preferably in public health/ reproductive health /maternal and child health care or related field.
• Field level management experience in project management and coordination, with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload with diverse tasks and responsibilities.
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal communication skills in English and Arabic (both verbal and written). French or other language is a plus.
• Motivated, community-driven, demonstrates initiative.
