The Water Sanitation and Hygiene Assistant is responsible for supervising the WASH activities in the area of intervention, under the line management of the WASH Project Manager. She/he will closely works with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (joint implementation program).
Supervision and monitoring of the WASH activities
- Prepare bills of quantity, technical specification.
- Supervise the execution/implementation of activities in the project sites.
- Supervise the contractors and monitor the execution of work.
- Check and receive the work, material, equipment and items from the contractors/suppliers.
- Conduct regular project site visits and working sites visits.
- Monitor distribution of WASH nonfood items with SARC.
- Compile technical data, and produce technical and progress reports on a regular basis.
- Ensure close coordination and communication with local stakeholders in the project locations.
Reporting
- Report on the project activities in a weekly basis to the line manager.
- Prepare internal reporting according to the needs.

Education: Engineer (graduated).
Experience: A first experience in a similar position with NGOs (humanitarian field).
Language: Good level of English and Arabic languages (oral and written).
Technical skills: able to conduct technical assessments, to prepare bill of quantity; able to supervise work, able the report accurately on the project activities.
Computer skills: Proficient user of MS Office and engineering softwares.
Experience: A first experience in a similar position with NGOs (humanitarian field).
