Responsibilities
1. Overall implementation of a project, including achievement of activity targets; coordination with departments, partners and donors (as required); development and implementation of a project-related M&E system; and, preparation of project reports.

2. Correct use of programmatic resources, including management of project budget line items such as project input (supplies and activities), equipment, and direct project hires. Understanding of project award agreements and donor standards, compliance requirements and regulations (including those related to procurement).

3. Design and implementation of project life cycle steps and coordination mechanisms, including kick-off meetings at country and headquarters levels, regular project reviews, financial pipeline inputs and close-out meetings.

4. Development and maintenance of key project management tools, including procurement plans, financial pipelines, activity work-plans and indicator trackers.

5. Timely initiation of project implementation actions, including staff recruitment and submission of procurement requests.

6. For procurement, the Grants Officer is expected to:
- Understand and apply International Medical Corps procurement guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a project procurement plan to ensure procured items and quantities are necessary for the action, aligned with the procurement plan, and chargeable to the grant.
- Coordinate reviews and approvals of project inputs and equipment specifications by Technical Advisors to ensure inputs meet international quality standards.
- Verify that Procurement Requests are raised in a timely fashion, complete and accurate, and detail required specifications.
- Document justifications for sole source procurement and request approvals from required authorities.
- Ensure Procurement Requests include accurate cost evaluations, and document when should-cost analysis estimate procurement values will exceed US$150,000.
- Act as the Requester when required to ensure the timely initiation of Procurement Requests following procurement planning.

7. Grants Officer is expected to manage the project in a prudent manner and in accordance with International Medical Corps and donor regulations. Grants Officer must:
- Ensure no one commits or incurs transactions that are not included in the project budget or agreed types of expenditure. Finance & Administration Director. Final decision over project budget lays with Primary budget holder in consultation with Country Director and Finance and Administration Director
- Ensure that value for money is achieved in every purchase.
- Regularly monitor expenditures using procurement plans and financial pipeline reports.
- Provide information to the Finance and Administration Director and Senior Managers as required to adhere to financial procedures.

Qualifications
* Bachelor degree, preferably related to Business Administration
* General knowledge of Humanitarian assistant project as well as implementation, procurement, and reporting
* Advanced English skills- Oral & Writing
* able to work on a team of national and international.
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work with different departments
* Ability to work under pressure and complete unexpected tasks/ requests
* Able to travel based on program needs.
* Willingness to receive trainingS and apply to work and flexibility within working hours
