Responsibilities
-Program management
•Participate with the PM in drawing up the action plan and project activies, including setting the objective tools development, activity timetable in order to achieve the project results.
•In collaboration with the PM, provide technical support in Education and Child Protection to field based volunteers and commuity to ensure the quality of the project.
•Ensure with the PM the proper implementation of the project and the supervision of the activities, such as
ocase management services,
oestablishment of referral pathways,
omapping of services,
opsychosocial support,
onon-formal education,
oocational training and
ocommunity based child protection mechanisms
•Carry out continuous needs assessment in the all identified areas
•Collection of Education and Protection data
•Ensure with the PM the monitoring of the project indicators and make sure the sources of verification are complete.Analyse data collected
•Ensure proper follow-up and monitoring of the project to evaluate the impact of the actions. This will include the establishment of concrete mechanisms to enhance the level of accountability to beneficiaries to guide and adjust project implementation.
•Carry out programs monitoring and evaluation (M & E) on regular bases
•Based on relevant data, prioritize and plan targeted HP messages & activities with HP team for schools
•Develop, invent and identify new methods and activities that ensure community received correct education services
•Follow the implementation of the activities and adapt the project schedule
•Ensure that all required tools, guidelines, work standards and templates provided by the Education and Protection Program Manager are correctly filled and used for the project implementation and suggest improvement
•Fill in all project documents properly and timely
•Monitor the projects indicators in coordination with Education and Protection Program Manager
•Ensure a proper coordination and communication with all relevant local authorities (line Ministries & municipalities) and partners (SARC, UN Agencies) in the field
•Evaluate project activities, promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
•Attend coordination meetings with external partners, locality, SARC in the field etc
•Take a proactive stance to identify areas requiring intervention

-Management of the logistical aspects of the project
•Follow up the procurements related to project activity, prepare purchase requests, anticipate the purchases in coordination with program and logistic team
•Forecast and plan Education stocks required for the project
•Follow up requests and deliveries of materials, tools and equipment required for Education and Protection activities
•Identify suppliers in the field and collect prices

-Staff Management
•Monitor the work of the volunteers under her/his management

-Reporting
•Report on the project activities in a daily basis
•Ensure timely submission of follow up reports to the concerned person and ensure the accuracy and the timeliness of the reporting
•Participate to the reporting of project activities (to donors, local authorities & partners)

-Security
•Contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring compliance with safety rules at the site, and transmits all information related to safety concerns to her/his line manager and Head of Mission

-Communication
•Respect TGH communication channel
•Provide Country Director with photos, success stories (Website, Facebook, and Twitter) on regular basis

Specific Vacancy Requirements
The Education and Protection Program Manager Assistant is responsible, under the supervision of the Education and Protection Program Manager, for the management of TGH Education and Protection projects in Syria. This includes WASH in school projects.

Location: Based in Hamah – Syria, regular field trips

Established in 1994 TGH is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) designing and implementing emergency, rehabilitation and development programs. Its action includes several areas of expertise within a comprehensive approach: the programs fall within the fields of Education; Water Hygiene & Sanitation; Food Security, Livelihood & Rural Development. In 2018, TGH operates in 10 countries and manages 70 programs.

TGH has been registered in Syria in May 2017 and works under the coordination of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). Both Organisations have agreed to cooperate in order to enhance their common objective of offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian affected people that need help wherever it is possible in the country. The main TGH sectors of activities in Syria are WASH and Education.

A preliminary assessment in the WASH sector has been carried-out by TGH from 18th July to 27th July 2017 under the coordination and with the support of SARC. Another one has been conducted by TGH team and SARC in Hama in October 2018. Since then TGH has field based staff in Hama carrying out all TGH activities in Rural areas.
