Responsibilities
NRC is looking for a suitable trainer to build the capacity of the targeted beneficiaries on business skills. In that regard, the trainer will undertake the following tasks:

 Review existing training materials developed by NRC. Each topic should be supported with a clear handout, examples to clarify concepts and tools to be used by trainees.
 Contribute to develop some topics related to start a small enterprise.
 Conduct Training in business, which includes and not limited to the following topics:
 Plan and management the small business.
 Marketing mix.
 Operations.
 Finance & Accounting in small Business.
 Develop the Business Plan.
 Support trainees in preparing the business plans and evaluate them in collaboration with NRC staff.
 Conduct assessments of the capacities of trainees to evaluate the progress gained through the training.
 Provide feedback of the progress of training and trainees and prepare periodical reports as requested.
 Provide coaching – technical inputs to trainees after opening their business to explore the linkages between their actual project and all the resources and services needed to successfully run and sustain their business.
 Attend and participate in required NRC-induction training.
 Conduct regular meetings with NRC after each training or cycle to discuss lessons learnt and agree on adjustments of training topics or other aspects to better suit the objectives of the training and the needs of the beneficiaries.

About us
NRC is a non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian, independent organisation. It provides assistance to people affected by crises & i.e. refugees, internally displaced people, host communities etc. - to meet their immediate humanitarian needs, prevent further displacement and contribute to durable solutions.
NRC was established in 1946 under the name Aid to Europe, to assist refugees in Europe after World War II. After almost 70 years of interventions all over the world, today NRC is organised as an independent and private foundation that cooperates closely with the UN and other humanitarian organisations, around the world as well as in Norway. NRCs funding base is not only diverse but also flexible, counting a number of different donors including the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations. The type of activities implemented in each context varies from country to country depending on the needs on the ground and priorities laid out in strategic response plans of Governments and the UN. However NRC mainly specialises in five programme areas: Education, Shelter, WASH, Food Security as well as supporting displacement affected population to access further services. Moreover, extensive expertise has been gained by the organization over the years also on Collective Shelters Coordination and Management.
In addition, NRC provides expertise as a strategic partner to the UN as well as to national and international actors including governments and line ministries- through its stand-by rosters. Only in 2014 almost 600 humanitarian experts were deployed to 49 countries, making NRCs rosters the most used expert deployment capacity in the humanitarian world.
Finally, NRC promotes and sustains efforts at different levels to keep high the attention on the condition and situation of displaced and vulnerable people affected by ongoing crisis.
