Responsibilities
• Responsible on-site for the implementation and control of SEED project (project funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation) activities regarding result 2 of the SEED project (facilitating access to food of animal origin (hen eggs) for self-sustaining thanks to the distribution of laying hens, kits of equipment (nest for laying hens, small materials, etc.), vaccines and feeding stuff and start of technical training courses on good farming practices);
• Constant presence in the field;
• Facilitation of technical training on laying hens keeping and on good farming practices;
• Organizes and supervises professional training relating to veterinary technical skills aimed at conducting emergency interventions for beneficiary farmers, husbandry system improvement, egg production, feeding technics and ratios;
• Support in the production of technical training material to be distributed to beneficiaries;
• Coordinate with the project manager and ICU staff in Damascus and in the field;
• Coordinate with the project manager and SARC team in the field;
• Preparation of technical specifications for the purchase of laying hens, vaccines and kits of equipment in the target governorates;
• Organizes and supervises the distribution of laying hens, vaccines and kits of equipment in the target governorates;
• Directs the purchasing processes of laying hens, vaccines and kits of equipment with the expected supplies, in coordination with the Project Manager and the Project Administrator;
• Supports and supervises the vaccination campaign for the distributed laying hens;
• Follow up with the families beneficiaries of the SEED project about the conditions of the laying hens;
• Coordinates with relevant stakeholders (beneficiaries, relevant Ministries, relevant international bodies, etc.) and participates in sector working groups if necessary and required;
• Constantly interacts with the Project Manager to resolve related issues to the implementation of field activities.


Qualifications
Degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) related sector or similar.
Fluent spoken and written English is recommended.
Previous work experiences with INGOs are highly valuable.
Previous teamwork and team lead experiences are considered added values.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
Full-time job from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with frequent field activities, visits, and follow-up.
