1.Cost Analysis: A project cost control engineer analyzes the expected costs of a project and determines the costs of materials, labor, equipment, overhead, and other expenses.
2.Identifying Resources: The project cost control engineer must determine the resources required to complete the project and ensure that they are available in a sustainable and cost-effective manner
3.Cost control: The engineer follows up the actual costs of the project and compares them with the expected costs, identifies any differences and analyzes the reasons that led to these differences.
4.Cost Reports: The project cost control engineer creates regular reports on costs, variances, and causes, and these reports are submitted to management and project stakeholders.
