Responsibilities
The Incumbent will provide technical support to the child protection team, mainly field coordination support, mentorship and technical support to child protection officers, strengthening coordination between other departments to enhance the child protection multi sectorial programing in line with the department goals, objectives and strategies and keep the CP Coordinator updated with key issues and trends.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Program Planning and Development.

- Work closely with child protection leadership team, staff team, local partners, and community stakeholders, as relevant, to plan program interventions.
- Provide input on program development and recommendations, as required.
- Provide regular input and review of proposals, concept notes, appeals and program reports
- Lead and support child protection risk assessments as required
- Coordinate with government focal points, local partners, and women’s networks, as appropriate

2- Capacity Building and Implementation

- Lead implementation of child protection relevant program activities
- Ensure effective community participation throughout implementation, including leadership of women and girls
- Lead implementation of specific approaches, as relevant
- Train staff, partners and cross-sector actors, as relevant
- Oversee distribution of parenting kits etc., where relevant
- Support community volunteers engaged for CP outreach, where relevant

3- Human Resources Support

- Support recruitment and oversight of CP officers and assistants, CP case managers and community Mobilizers, where relevant.
- Train and supervise staff
- Support teambuilding, and support principles of self-care

4- Monitoring and Reporting

- Monitor the implementation of child protection activities in the field sites based on established indicators, including collating and analyzing data and information for reporting;
- Seek and analyze community feedback and adapt activities accordingly
- Oversee post-distribution monitoring, where relevant.
- Ensure timely submission of activity reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and ensure proper filing.
- Contribute to internal and external reports.

5- Coordination, Advocacy and Representation

- Coordinate regularly with the child protection leadership and participate, as required, in broader team meetings at field level
- Promote a survivor-centered approach in all internal and external coordination meetings
- Represent program goals and child protection standards

6- Security and Conduct

- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies
- Foster a safe and supportive working environment for all child protection staff and partners
- Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, notably through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with anti-harassment, safeguarding and PSEA policies

7- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Direct Supervisor.


Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in social work / psychology /sociology/ Social Science or related field of study.
- Very Good English (writing and spoken).
- Very Good Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, web browsers).
- Good vommunication and Negotiation skills.
- Good Teamwork spirit.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
- At least 3-year experience in implementing child protection and CFS activities.
- Good knowledge of child protection response and prevention activities.
- Previous experience in working with psychosocial and/or other social programs with international or locals NGOs.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to visit other Governorates due to the need.
