Responsibilities
Planning:
-Provide any support required by the MEAL Co to develop the MEAL plan for all projects according to Log Frames
-Contribute, when asked, to drafts/ToR/BoQ for activities implementation (background, methodology, objectives, results, activities, BoQ, Monitoring and post monitoring table linked to result framework + cash, materials, transport) and send it to PM
-Support to prepare weekly activity planning, movement plan with the PO and SPO.
-Contribute to weekly meeting

Implementation:
-Ensure effective implementation of all Child Protection and Psychosocial Support (PSS) activities in line with the approved work plan, project objectives, and COOPI’s technical standards.
-Supervise and follow up on the daily work of the multidisciplinary team (case managers, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and community volunteers) to ensure quality, timeliness, and consistency of services delivered to children and caregivers.
-Provide ongoing technical support to caseworkers and specialized staff in assessing, planning, and implementing case management interventions, ensuring adherence to SOPs, data protection standards, and child safeguarding principles.
-Coordinate and maintain strong collaboration with CBOs, schools, and other relevant actors to facilitate outreach activities, awareness sessions, referrals, and community engagement initiatives for children at risk or with specific protection needs.
-Monitor the quality of protection interventions, including PSS sessions, case management services, and community-based activities, through regular field visits, direct observation, and feedback meetings—providing technical guidance and on-the-job coaching to the team.
-Support the design and delivery of Child Protection training for teachers, community members, and partner staff when required, ensuring training materials are in line with COOPI and inter-agency standards.
-Supervise and ensure the effective implementation of training sessions conducted in schools (e.g., on Child Protection, positive discipline, or PSS approaches), providing field presence and technical follow-up to ensure relevance and impact.
-Contribute to capacity-building activities for COOPI field teams and community volunteers, identifying training needs, and facilitating or co-facilitating internal technical sessions when needed.
-Ensure that all activities are properly documented using the approved tools and forms, and that data is collected, verified, and consolidated in a timely manner.
Ensure availability and proper use of materials and logistical supplies required for implementing sessions and outreach activities, in coordination with the Project Manager and logistics team.
-Contribute to the planning and implementation of national and international Child Protection events, campaigns, and awareness initiatives in collaboration with the Project Manager and technical team, both in Child-Friendly Spaces and in schools

Reporting:
-Draft/inform the PO and PM on activities accomplishment including implementation data as requested (interim, final, ad hoc, etc)
-Participate in grant closing meetings for every closed grant if required by the PM.

External Coordination:
-Support the organization of internal and donors visits to the project sites liaising with the PO.
-Support approval of agreements with the regions and required MoU with local authorities

Project development:
-Support to execute and manage of all required needs assessment (Standard, Rapid, Ad Hoc) and explo missions.
-Act as enumerators and data collectors as required
-Contribute technical inputs in new project proposals as required
-Share project ideas and concepts as deemed useful
-Propose written innovative actions in the area of intervention



Qualifications
Education and Experience:
-University degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another related social discipline; a Masters degree in a relevant field is a strong asset.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in the humanitarian field, including at least 3 years in Child Protection or Psychosocial Support programming.
-Proven experience working in fragile or complex contexts, including response to the needs of IDPs, returnees, and host communities.
-Demonstrated experience in GBV and Child Protection case management, and familiarity with inter-agency SOPs and referral pathways.
-Experience in training facilitation and capacity building for teachers, community actors, or field teams.
-Experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams (caseworkers, psychologists, social workers, volunteers, etc.).
-Technical and Managerial Skills
-Strong understanding of Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS), IASC MHPSS Guidelines, and PSEA principles.
-Ability and willingness to serve as a PSEA or Safeguarding focal point if assigned.
-Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with CBOs, schools, and community structures.
-Proven ability to manage work in insecure or hard-to-reach areas, including through remote management modalities.
-Strong reporting and analytical skills, including experience in preparing narrative and monitoring reports.

Personal Competencies:
-Demonstrated respect, empathy, and non-discriminatory attitude toward all community members.
-High level of initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
-Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
-Fluency in Arabic and very good working knowledge of English (written and spoken).
-Prior experience working with local partners or community-based organizations is an asset.
