Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
1. Report directly to the Managing Director on a regular basis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
2. Present current issues, advise on team progress, and recommend development plans, risks, and opportunities.
3. Provide leadership, coordination, and coaching to the team; identify each member’s potential, develop capabilities and performance, and enhance productivity and quality.
4. Train and mentor team members to improve outputs, ensuring each fulfills their role effectively.
5. Sustain harmony, motivation, and a positive work environment, maintaining high team spirit.
6. Prepare semi-annual appraisals, recommend raises, and administer corrective or disciplinary measures as needed.
Project and Technical Management:
1. Prioritize tasks and projects as advised by management, ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met.
2. Ensure compliance with project specifications, sustainability regulations, green codes, and Employer’s Requirements.
3. Collaborate with Construction Specialists and Project Engineers to monitor construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, and international standards.
4. Lead, report, oversee, and monitor Sustainability Certification Programs, including commissioning processes and documentation.
5. Create and implement best practices, strategies, policies, and procedures to improve performance and efficiency.
6. Ensure consistent use of the company’s project management platform and software as per management instructions.
7. Maintain high quality in all deliverables, respecting deadlines and priorities set by management.
8. Gain full familiarity with and ensure adherence to UAE and international engineering codes and standards.
9. Suggest alternative policies, workflows, and procedures to enhance both the quality and quantity of outputs.
Team Coordination and Communication:
1. Ensure strong communication between all teams to facilitate effective information exchange.
2. Foster collaboration and alignment among engineers of various specialties and disciplines.
