Responsibilities
• Represent the ICRC mandate and its operations to a variety of audiences during field trips, campaigns, and events.
• Participate in planning, implementation and monitoring of the ICRC relief and livelihood programs in the assigned area.
• Assess the humanitarian situation and needs, particularly in the field of economic security, emergencies, livelihoods of the affected population.
• Establish and maintain regular coordination with the relevant humanitarian and other actors.
• Participate actively in the development of strategies, plans, project proposals and programs linked with relief and livelihood activities.
• Ensure an effective collaboration with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branches in general and in particular the DSS AoR.
• Plan and organize field visits for assessment of relief, livelihood needs, and monitoring of project activities.
• Generate statistical and narrative reports as required.
• Provides administrative support and translate from English to Arabic and vice-versa.


Qualifications
• University degree in Business Administration, Economy, agronomy, or relevant field. For non-degree holders, a high-school diploma with minimum of 5 years of direct relevant professional experience is required.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing livelihood/relief programs in humanitarian contexts.
• Proven experience in direct market assessments and CVA implementation (cash transfers, voucher programs).
• Proven field experience in aid distribution and beneficiary registration.
• Very good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Computer skills (proficiency in MS Office).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting abilities.
