Responsibilities
The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining and overseeing SABIS® technologies and implementing all related procedures across the schools to ensure seamless and effective operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensuring compliance with all security and infrastructure standards (including backups, firewall security, Windows updates, etc.) as per SABIS® policies, in coordination with the regional IT Team and SABIS® HQ IT Infrastructure/Security teams.
2. Installing and deploying new SABIS® software applications and updates, ensuring proper usage by granting access rights, training end users, and providing support manuals for SABIS® and third-party IT solutions.
3. Reporting any valid malfunctions and abnormalities in SABIS® application software and handling issues/requests through SABIS® Service Management.
4. Procuring, setting up, and configuring necessary hardware and network components (servers, cabinets, switches, workstations, thin clients, laptops, Smart Boards, tablets, Wi-Fi, and other equipment).
5. Maintaining network infrastructure, data integrity, and backups.
6. Ensuring data center equipment, such as servers and network devices, are up-to-date with firmware and patches.
7. Addressing and resolving faults within the school system (Wi-Fi, network, Internet, servers, etc.).
8. Supporting students, parents, and staff in using SABIS® solutions (SABIS® E-Books, the SABIS® Digital Platform, etc.).
9. Providing ongoing technical support to all school users.
10. Verifying security standards by conducting system audits and performing regular checks on the network and data security.
11. Operating (running and maintaining) the various SABIS® IT software and solutions that are deployed in the school.
12. Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the Management.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, Computer Engineering, or their equivalent
-Cisco CCNAMCITP or similar certificates are preferred
-A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field
