Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning & Implementation
- Lead the planning and execution of livelihoods interventions, including cash-for-work, vocational training, small grants, and income-generating activities.
- Ensure activities are implemented in line with approved proposals, work plans, and budgets.
- Monitor project timelines to guarantee timely delivery of outputs and outcomes.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance to field teams on livelihoods programming and economic empowerment approaches.
- Ensure proper beneficiary targeting, selection, and documentation processes.
- Support the development of tools, guidelines, and operational procedures for livelihoods activities.
Project Management & Budget Oversight
- Assist in budget planning, expenditure tracking, and financial monitoring in coordination with the finance department.
- Ensure efficient resource utilization and compliance with donor regulations.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation measures to ensure smooth project implementation.
Team Supervision Coordination
- Supervise and mentor field staff to ensure quality, accountability, and ethical program delivery.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities and provide guidance to teams.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, partners, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen program impact.
Reporting Documentation
- Ensure timely preparation of narrative and donor reports.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and data records.
- Support monitoring and evaluation by providing relevant program data and analysis.
Accountability Compliance
- Uphold transparency, accountability, and safeguarding standards.
- Promote community feedback mechanisms and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with SSU policies, donor requirements, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in livelihoods or economic empowerment programs, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development, Agriculture, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of livelihoods interventions, including cash-for-work, vocational training, small grants, and income-generating activities.
Demonstrated experience in project planning, implementation, budgeting, and monitoring.
Proven experience supervising and managing field teams.
Experience in narrative and donor reporting.
Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
Solid understanding of the Syrian context; familiarity with Al-Safira is an asset.
Fluency in Arabic; good working knowledge of English is preferred.
Must be based in Al-Safira or able to work full-time in Al-Safira, Aleppo.
