Responsibilities
-Implement psychosocial and case management activities
•Participate to the identification and selection of children at risk, according to standard vulnerability criteria’s
•Conduct follow-up and family visits to provide psychosocial first aid, psychosocial support or any other needed assistance, depending on the child and family’s needs.
•Create and implement new adapted and tailored recreational activities to improve the children’s well being
•Ensure that urgent and challenging cases are immediately discussed with direct supervisors
•In line with Syria’s SOPs (Standard operational procedures), provide case management services to the children identified, and follow all case management steps from identification to closure or transfer, including referrals to specialized services in coordination with the line manager
•Advice the parents and raise their awareness on children’s rights and children’s wellbeing.
•Be responsible of the data management of the cases, using the case management tools: documentation of cases, referrals, etc and of the archiving of the files regarding the cases followed.

-Communication and coordination
•Ensure coordination and information sharing with the Line manager, while preserving the confidentiality principles
•Assures coordination with all relevant stake-holders and other INGOs regarding case management., while preserving the confidentiality principles
•Coordinate and liaise all activities with the Community Based committees already existing in the field.

-Provide awareness and capacity building in child protection consistently with the community based approach
•Follow up on the needs in terms of awareness and be proactive in the definition of the awareness program
•Conduct awareness sessions using a community based approach focusing on child protection, GBV and general protection issues
•Participate in capacity building of community based structures/public services (for instance: Child Protection Committee, teachers, authorities, etc)




- Reporting, planning and communication
•Participate in weekly meetings regarding the activities of the project with the Line manager
•Provide a weekly activity planning
•Report to his/her supervision any development or change of circumstances regarding the context and actors
•Update frequently the database with Line manager

-Participate in the translation when needed
•Provide translation, oral and written when needed

Qualifications
- previous case management experience with Humanitarian organization
- training on child protection/PSS

Established in 1994 TGH is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) designing and implementing emergency, rehabilitation and development programs. Its action includes several areas of expertise within a comprehensive approach: the programs fall within the fields of Education; Water Hygiene & Sanitation; Food Security, Livelihood & Rural Development. In 2018, TGH operates in 10 countries and manages 70 programs.

TGH has been registered in Syria in May 2017 and works under the coordination of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). Both Organisations have agreed to cooperate in order to enhance their common objective of offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian affected people that need help wherever it is possible in the country. The main TGH sectors of activities in Syria are WASH and Education.

A preliminary assessment in the WASH sector has been carried-out by TGH from 18th July to 27th July 2017 under the coordination and with the support of SARC. Another one has been conducted by TGH team and SARC in Hama in October 2018. Since then TGH has field based staff in Hama carrying out all TGH activities in Rural areas.
