• Answer and address incoming phone calls in a timely and polite manner, provide appropriate authorized information to callers, take and deliver messages accurately and completely.
• Report and liaise with the Staff Safety Officer concerning all safety and security matters and report any security gaps and breaches.
• Control admission of authorized personnel and movement of Oxfam property in and out of the premises.
• Ensure that attendance and visitors logs are maintained.
• Patrol and maintain security of the office premises including the grounds of the building and report any irregularity on daily basis.
• Ensure that the hibernation kit is valid
• Ensure main building and out-building alarms are armed at close of day.
• Check that all office machines, air conditioners, lights, etc are turned off after working hours.
• Conduct patrols within the building and fire safety observation whenever there are unusual incidents and as required by the Staff Safety Officer.
• Conduct basic safety and security training related to the building as well as adhere to safety and security rules and regulations.

• Managing parking if necessary.

While Oxfam has been present in the region since 1970, it began operating in Syria through its Damascus based presence in July 2013. Since then, Oxfam has been responding to both the urgent WASH needs for vulnerable people, and has been working on the rehabilitation of water systems in order to provide durable, more sustainable solutions to the affected populations. Interventions implemented under Oxfam's WASH Programme include: Provision of Acute Emergency Life-Saving WASH Services, Rehabilitation of Water Systems, Hygiene Promotion and Water Conservation, Capacity Building and Training, and Improved Emergency WASH Coordination. To date, Oxfam has been worked in 10 governorates, seeking out to over 2.5 million beneficiaries.
