Responsibilities
1-Support and contribution to effective implementation of project objectives;
•Supervise, implement and evaluate PSS Programs in the center
•Ensure that the current cultural, developmental, treatment, and psycho-social needs of children/youth/families receiving services are met
•Support the center’s team in delivery of activities
•Support the development and delivery of recreational and child protection activities targeting children with a high level of vulnerability and their caregivers;
•In coordination with PSS workers, develop a detailed weekly activity plan, indicating specifically the aim and the objectives of the activities and to closely monitor results achieved with the beneficiaries
•Support the child protection committee in their task
•Design and supervise the Community Outreach intervention
•Contribute in strengthening the capacity of the community to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, neglect & exploitation

2-Organizational and Management Responsibilities:
•Participate in education working group meetings
•Establish and maintain relationships with community services, groups, agencies, etc.
•Network and liaise with other local and international NGOs and create a solid referral system
•Respect principles of data protection and security, and all guidelines of documentation within the project and keep data records
•Attend and participate in all Dorcas mandatory trainings when requested, including on teacher training and Child Safeguarding
•Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

3-Internal and external reporting
•Report weekly educational and psychosocial activity progress
•Provide internal reporting to the line manager on project activities according to Dorcas internal tools
•Contribute in reporting to the donors

Qualifications
Personal competencies required
•Fluent in Arabic – written and spoken
•Good level of reporting skills
•Good knowledge of computers
•Ability to listen actively, understand, communicate effectively and discuss with supervisors and parents on children’s learning problems and psychosocial requirements.
•Flexibility, ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people
•Able to cope and work in considerably stressful environment
•Good time management and task management skills
•Able to work independently and with autonomy, while following objectives and instructions
•High level of diplomacy, cultural sensitivity and security awareness
•Desire to develop his/her expertise and knowledge.
•Motivated, dynamic; able and willing to take initiatives


Specific Vacancy Requirements
Professional competencies required
•Diploma or Bachelor degree in Education, Sociology or Psychology
•High communication skills
•Previous experience in psychosocial and child protection programs will be an added advantage
•Previous experience in coordination and management
•Experience working for an NGO preferred
