1. To develop and update the national medicines list for the country.
2. To monitor the progress made by the secondary and tertiary hospitals project under SHARP 2014, including capacity building, and procurement of essential medicines and medical equipment
3. To arrange maintenance and repair contracts for partially damaged hospitals.
4. To oversee the implementation of the essential medicines components of the Primary Health Care-Trauma management and Care-Secondary and Tertiary Hospitals work plans for 2013-2014, including planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
5. Act as focal point for the Infection control activities of the country office work plan and provide support to Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in the implementation of the Infection Control planned activities, including developing standardized training materials and facilitating lectures upon request.
6. Provide technical advice and information about medicines procurement, warehousing and distribution
to the logistics team at country and regional office level.
7. Provide advice/guidance to the MOH, MOHE and Non-Governmental Organizations to estimate their medical supplies needs and review medicines and medical supplies requests.
8. Develop proposals for the UN Emergency Relief Fund (ERF), including grants for NGO partners and assist and support the WHO country office team in developing ERF proposals.
9. Review and provide comments on proposals from humanitarian agencies applying for ERF grants
10. Select the best proposals for ERF Funds in collaboration with the other Review Board members.

Education and Skills:
Essential:
University degree in Pharmacy.
Desirable:
Master s Degree in public health or any relevant field.
Experience:

At least 2 years experience in related field of managing pharmaceutical products

Previous experience with WHO or UN agencies.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English and local language.
