Responsibilities

- Evaluation of the people needs in the targeted areas in WASH sector in Rural Damascus governorate in coordination with the relative authorities, and Oxfam Office.
- Coordination with the water authorities and various bodies concerned with the implementation of Oxfam projects, according to the request of Oxfam Management.
Follow up and Supervision Duties:
- Supervise the execution activities of the contracts according to the conditions and ensure compliance with the Technical Conditions Book and Successful technical bid.
- Follow up the work progress and according to the time schedule contained in the contract.
- Follow up the supply and installation of the equipments; check each item and its conformity to the Technical Conditions Book.
- Verify that the supplied mechanical and electrical materials conform with the quantities included in the contract, and monitor the quantities of civil works though preparing Books of Survey.
- Follow up and conducting all necessary tests on materials and their conformity with international standards, condition books and successful technical bids.
Administrative Duties:
- Archiving documents and papers relating to the projects implemented, hard copies and electronic copies, and share them with the team if requested.
- Providing pictures to document the stages of Oxfam work: 1. Pictures before starting the project 2. Pictures during execution and for each stage 3. Pictures after execution, and share with the Oxfam Office.
- Taking pictures for the equipment sign boards.
- Prepare certificates of: hand-over, installation, execution and operation, signed by concerned parties.
Other Duties:
- Preparation of the as-build drawings (status quo) after completion of the works, when needed.
- Reports on the final project works.
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations to explain about all challenges and constraints faced during implementation phase and lessons learnt for future projects.
- Conduct assessments for previous or current projects executed by Oxfam.


Qualifications
Qualifications:

- Minimum engineering bachelor degree.
- At least 2 years’ experience "preferred the higher experience"

Specific vacancy:
- Reporting on the evaluation of the needs in the field of WASH to Oxfam Office.
- Minutes of Meetings with partners including points of views and recommendations.
- Reporting on the implementation of activities to Oxfam Office.
- Preparing reports on testing and running the equipments.
- Preparing reports on conformity of the executed works with the time schedule specified for the project.
- Preparing reports regarding the types of materials and equipments during delivery and installation of the materials listed in the materials tables.
- Submitting books of survey to compare the quantities estimated by the contractors and Site Engineer with the ones included in the contracts.
- Preparing reports on testing and running of the equipments and test methods used by the contractors.
- Provide final electronic and hard copies of all documents used during projects.
- Regularly present pictures with their dates, locations and contents to Oxfam Office.
- Present clear and comprehensive AutoCAD drawings and schemes and including actual measurements taken by the contractors.
- Submitting final projects reports containing the technical and humanitarian situation before, during and after the projects and all the challenges, lessons learnt and recommendations.
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations when needed.
- Provide reports about the previous and current projects implemented by Oxfam organization in terms of operating hours, malfunctions, needs, and in the event of any damage.
