Responsibilities
1. Conduct site survey when needed to verify the dimensions of the locations and ensure their endurance and verify the construction requirements and conditions of the radio site in coordination with contractor.
2. Check and review the civil designs and technical submittals (documents, drawings) of radio sites proposed by contractor based on requirements set according to site survey or technical studies prepared by contractor and set recommendations accordingly.
3. Review the Bill of Quantities (BOQs) of civil works based on design and estimated construction quantities of materials, potential environmental hazards, and other factors during the planning stage.
4. Inspect the construction works through sites visits to assure the proper implementation of the plan in radio sites erection, renovation and maintenance, follow up the closing of issues in civil works implementation, and submit needed report upon the completion of each stage.
5. Inspect civil work materials which are used by contractor during sites’ visits to ensure the validity of materials specifications.
6. Conduct the acceptance for civil works implementation in radio sites according to the preset design and confirm that the site is ready to install technical equipment through conducting site visits or based on Civil Engineering Technician feedback.
7. Ensure that all issues related to site visit findings are solved appropriately.
8. Suggest actions to prevent the reoccurrence of repetitive findings and report the results to head of section.
9. Prepare the periodical visits plan of Civil Engineering Technician to check the construction works in new and existing radio sites.
10. Review Civil Engineering Technician reports including visits results and technical feedback and take the needed action accordingly.
11. Check Section & Individual objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
12. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and team work.
13. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.
