Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the designated Functional Unit, the livelihood facilitator is expected to be involved in:

• In close consultation with ORGANIZATION, facilitate coordination of service provision and other defined activities in camps, urban and rural settings in Northeast Syria.
• Monitor, evaluate and measure impact of livelihood programs implemented directly by ORGANIZATION or through partners against set baselines and indicators as per guidance by ORGANIZATION, SOPs and minimum economic recovery standards (MERS).
• Collect socio-economic data and information on market dynamics for further analytical use and for design of new projects.
• Assess and provide market needs for rehabilitation of socio-economic infrastructures
• Build good relationships with all actors present in the camp and urban sites to facilitate networking and information gathering.
• Facilitate joint assessments, needs analysis and identification of gaps though providing gathered information on livelihoods.
• Serve as entry point for ORGANIZATION visit into new geographic locations and provide mission support.
• Attend coordination meeting and ERL working group meetings as requested by ORGANIZATION
• Prepare different type of reports as request (services mapping, qualitative, weekly, monthly, graphic representation …, etc.)
• Facilitators will prepare analytical report on the information gathered in accordance with the established weekly work plans.
• Conduct site visits to potential or actual activity locations as requested by ORGANIZATION
• Provide recommendations on the improvement of services and suggestions for new intervention.
• Perform other tasks as required by ORGANIZATION.



Qualifications
Education:

•University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or other field related to the scope of work.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of experience in managing or monitoring or cash-for-work and asset projects with understanding of current mechanisms implement by ORGANIZATION in NES.
• Experience in socio-economic infrastructure and market analysis.
• Good communication experience.
• Experience working in a humanitarian context is an asset (UN or NGO programmes/projects)
• Relevant technical experience related to scope of work

LANGUAGES

• Fluency in Arabic, and preferably good knowledge of written and oral English.

• Good leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Good knowledge of NES operational contexts and target groups
• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyse diverse and complex information from a wide range of sources to make analytical statements to inform decision-making.
• Good communication and networking skills, including the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams as well as establishing and maintaining close working relationships with a variety of implementing partners and counterparts at different levels
• Good computer skills, including experience with various software applications, with more focus on computer skills linked to the scope of required work.
