Responsibilities
Under its program to support the resilience of PWDs towards socio-economic inclusion, UNDP has been contributing to support in filling in the gaps of lack of services. UNDP is planning to support the provision of comprehensive prosthetic services to people in need in the southern areas of Dara'a and Quneitra, The technical officer should be responsible for the attainment of the following:
1. Technical oversight in all governorates on all project activities including develop all needed ToRs for services and monitor on the quality of delivered services.
2. Manage SHF fund technical aspects to all outputs delivered.
3. Provide comprehensive technical support in planning and implementation of disability unit’s projects in the field related to Physical rehabilitation of Persons with disabilities with special focus on prosthetic projects in Damascus, Daraa and Quneitra.
4. Support in the development of project proposals with partners in the field of physical rehabilitation
5. Conduct monitoring and evaluation tasks on the progress, efficiency and compliance of relevant projects including submitting of M&E and technical reports.
7. Evaluate the progress of projects in the field against signed project documents
8. Provide remote and on-site technical support for ongoing relevant projects. This task may require traveling to governorates.
9. Provide technical support on market survey and study; and the development of technical specifications for procurement of items related to physical rehabilitation projects.
10. Provide technical support on the evaluation of offers in response to procurement of good related to physical rehabilitation projects.
11. Follow-up technically on inquiries and dialogue with partners from governmental and non- governmental sectors
12. Provide support in conducting assessments and studies on the situation of physical rehabilitation services in the country
13. Contribute to knowledge sharing and investigation of innovative solution in the physical rehabilitation field.
14. Visit project sites and provide technical inputs and support
15. Reporting to all project progress, challenges and lessons learnt
16. Technical counterpart for experts in all training activities while providing progress, technical and final reports.
17. Provide comprehensive logistical and operational support to all training activities.
18. Conduct inspection missions and deliver reports accordingly.
19. Conduct technical reviews on available technical options and solution in the market and internationally.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
Education: Diploma in health science in the field of prosthetics.
Experience: More than 5 years of experience in physical rehabilitation services
Language Requirements:
- Excellent command of Arabic and English

- Ability to travel and conduct mission to project sites in governorates.
