Responsibilities
-Support the collection and analysis of sex- and age- disaggregated data (quantitative, qualitative and anecdotal) as well as streamlining the needs assessment, collection and analysis so that it can be more effective in meeting beneficiary needs.
-Ensure adequate project monitoring systems and evaluation procedures are in place applying appropriate tools in order to collect and update all progress indicators for the project. –
-Ensure the participation of the different stakeholders, including parents, students, and community members.
-Developing awareness raising and staff training programs to raise awareness on GBV,CP.
-Participate in the development and production of communication materials (leaflets, posters, brochures) to raise awareness on GBV /CP ,and outreach to the community
- Conducting training counselors and social workers to build their capacity and activate their role in GBV/CP case management-
-Build alliances with other key actors internally and externally to advocate for gender-sensitive programming.
-Adhere to referral pathways for each specialized programme depending on the available services and the survivors’ need
-Establish a mapping of external actors providing services to beneficiaries in the areas of operations and ensure the referral pathways are understood by all programme staff working on GBV and CP
-Compile and prepare quality monthly and periodic project progress reports, as well as the final report, and feed in other information as required by donors.
-Collect and promote good practices and lessons learned, contributing to a collection of replicable good practices for gender equality programming: Document the lessons learned from the different interventions and on developing best practices and knowledge management capacity.
-Provide technical support to and identify opportunities for the development of relevant advocacy and communication /information materials to address gender (in) equality issues.
-Raising key issues of concern related to protection to the Field Front Office through the adequate channels; Advises on Protection perspectives in all aspects of the work of the departments, using own resources or outside expertise; coordinates with the departments to assure gender equality in overall objectives


Qualifications
1.University degree in social sciences, law, social work, international development, or other relevant field from a recognized institution.
2.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an entry to mid-level position, with experience in the field of humanitarian response and refugee/protection working for an international NGO, UN agency or relevant ministry or local authority.
3.Technical understanding of core protection concepts (including Child protection and GBV), prevention and response strategies, including experience with operationalizing global best practices and international standards for implementing protection programming in humanitarian contexts.
4.Hands-on experience with protection case management, psychosocial support and supporting community-based protection structures.
5.Experience working with displaced or conflict affected populations.
6.Good communication skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities
7.Experience in regular report writing.
8.Experience in data collection
9.Well respected and nominated by the community
10.Committed, motivated and willing to learn.
