Responsibilities
1. Define the overall database structure, including recovery, security, backup, and capability specifications.
2. Determine overall requirements for database structure in order increase the efficiency and performance.
3. Participate in Installing, configuring, administering and troubleshooting Oracle servers software, application tools and related products.
4. Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
5. Participate in Performing troubleshooting, investigating for future mitigation of re-occurring problems.
6. Participate in evaluating existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement.
7. Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve Syriatel data.
8. Stay abreast with latest technical knowledge and problem resolution skills.
9. Check Section & Individual objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
10. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and teamwork.
11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.

Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor Degree in computer sciences, IT engineering or equivalent is required.
2. Experience: 3 years of Database Administration Experience are required.
3. Professional Certification: Database Administration Certificates (Oracle, SQL Server and My SQL) are a required.
Development Professional Certificates / Operating Systems Professional Certificates (UNIX) / ITIL are a plus.
