Responsibilities
1. Participate in the planning of edge network hardware and software requirements with their related BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
2. Participate in the planning of ISP network hardware and software requirements with their related BOQs.
3. Implement infrastructure hardware and software upgrades and replacement for new edge networks and expansion.
4. Configure edge and ISP network equipment from different vendors’ brands when needed.
5. Implement security policies to protect Syriatel Edge network against unauthorized access.
6. Monitor Syriatel edge and ISP networks data traffic to ensure that all packets are delivered to correct destination.
7. Coordinate with IT Network Services Specialist to ensure network performance stability and availability.
8. Identify, troubleshoot and solve edge network infrastructure problems, in an effort to minimize downtime.
9. Analyze repetitive problems in order to take the proper corrective and preventive actions.
10. Conduct technical assessment of offers received from Procurement.
11. Enhance edge network communications hardware and software as required.
12. Create, maintain and update configuration files, records, logs and reports.
13. Check Section & Individual objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
14. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and teamwork.
15. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.

Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences / IT Engineering or equivalent is required.
2. Experience: 2 years of LAN, WAN and technical support experience are required.
3. Professional Certification: CCNA is a plus.
