Responsibilities
● Assign tasks to software specialists, follow up, and provide support when needed.
● Supervise operations including software installation, configuration, and monitoring network services performed by software specialists.
● Supervise the Installation and repairs to system software, following design or installation specifications.
● Read technical manuals and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
● Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of software or system.
● Verify and confirm the evaluations of hardware specialists of software or service, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
● Verify the description of products provided by hardware specialists regarding specific requirements of a software, a system or a service and confirm the most suitable product according to the requirements, including part number and product datasheet.
● Verify the answer sheet written by software specialists regarding products required specification, and matched compliance in selected products.
● Provide support in troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving technical issues.
● Supervise the Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of a variety of systems including but not limited to: Active Directory including sites replication and group policy configuration, mail servers including Microsoft Exchange and other Linux mail servers, a variety of antivirus products, specific applications that are provided by hardware vendors, WAF installation and configuration, Database installation and configuration (SQL Server, MySQL).
● Install and configure SSL certificates.
● Document and update known fixes for future reference in knowledge base

Qualifications
● 3+ years of progressive experience in software installation and configuration.
● A degree in computer systems is desired, or equivalent professional certificates, or 6+ years of progressive working experience.
● Basic understanding of Network topologies, different routing protocols, VLANs, virtual switches, network zones (DMZ, LAN, WAN).
● Experience on an advanced level with working on Windows, Linux systems at the CLI.
● Ability to write reports, perform research and read datasheets and operation manual in English Language.
● Experience on an advanced level with SQL Server and MySQL database installation and configuration.
● Oracle Database experience is a plus.
● Experience on an advanced level with Microsoft Active Directory installation and configuration, Microsoft Exchange.
● Experience with installation and configuration for: antivirus solutions, firewalls, Web Application Firewalls.
● Experience with PKI and SSL certificate installation.
● Experience with Web Server implementation and configuration (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
● Experience with implementation and configuration of virtualization solutions: (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESXI).

Specific Vacancy Requirements
The Senior Software Specialist will be a part of the Technical team and report directly to the Technical Department Manager. Head of Software will work on the technical and operational delivery of software solutions including but not limited to: Server operating systems (Windows Active Directory, Linux), Virtualization Solutions (VMWare, Hyper-V), Mail Servers, Web Servers, Database Servers, and provide troubleshooting, problem solving and technical support while also liaising directly with clients. Head of Software will also manage Software Specialists, follow up their work, and provide guidance and support when needed.
The applicant must have experience working in an engineering capacity on different software products, with the ability to learn new technologies.
This role requires travel approximately 30 days per year to Syrian cities to implement solutions and provide support
